Emptiness and what? Dysthymia is a mood disorder consisting in chronic depression, but with less severity than major depressive disorders. The Greek word dysthymia means: “bad state of mind” or “ill humor” and it is associated with feelings like anxiety, apathy, despair, loneliness, social isolation, melancholy…

In this series of images I have tried to explore the links between the physical emptiness of spaces and places and the emotional emptiness of the human beings.
